Finding ideas

There are several ways that I find ideas for my writing

- Google reader Google reader is an RSS feed reader
I have over 400 subscriptions in Google reader looking through several feeds on the topic I'm going to write about is a great way to find ideas.

- Looking through Yahoo MSN and Google news
I have been doing this for a long time Yahoo MSN and Google news not only are good places to find the latest news it is also possible to find inspiration for your next article

When you look at stories one of the things you can do is try to find a story that you feel passionate about and write a commentary describing your position and opinion. Writing about something you're passionate about will naturally engage your readers and they may feel more connected to you whether they agree with you or not

- Google alerts is another service from Google which allows you to get e-mail when stories on subjects you choose show up on Google news I have just started using this method.

- Forums
I love forums they are  a great place to learn.  Experts often share knowledge that you would have to pay for in any other place they also can be a great source of article ideas

You can find out what people are asking questions about in your niche and write an article answering a question.

http://www.techmeme.com/ if you're writing about technology issues techmeme.com is a great place to see what the blogosphere is talking about and it can be a great place to spur ideas as long as you don't just repeat what you read there.  Try to use all the different sources you can find there to find angles of the story that aren't being covered
